~Helping More Wisconsin Animals~

NOT ALL BREEDERS ARE BAD!

We would like to clear something up. Yes, we love to help the rescue animals in need and help the rescues who are doing all they can for getting that dog/pup/cat/kitten etc.. out of a bad situation.
We would also like to say, not all breeders are bad. If you are looking for a pup and have looked at shelters etc.. and still haven't found what you're looking for, at least know what to look for in a legit breeder.
Try to find a AKC, CKC etc. Registered pets. They met all the guidelines needed for that Registry. Make sure the owner/breeder welcomes you and shows you where the pups and parents stay. Make sure they are 'inviting' and not scared to show where they are living.

Also, SEE THE PARENTS!
Even if you aren't looking for AKC, CKC etc... registered, ALWAYS (no matter what breeder) SEE THE PARENTS and Where the pups are staying. It should be in a clean environment, fresh food/water, INDOORS (not cages outside or in barns or in the garage or cage after cage in the house) Also, Please keep looking if they breed 5 (or more) types/breeds of dogs. That's usually not a good sign.

Don't buy a puppy off the internet! Go the the breeders home. If they say they are too busy or make up excuses every time you ask to come......RUN! Keep looking as there's clearly something 'hiding'.
And, DO NOT buy a puppy from a PET STORE! - Those are not from good breeders who want to better the breed but from Puppy Millers who are trying to produce more and more puppies with problems for money! So PLEASE pass that puppy in the window. You may think, "if i buy it, i'm stopping the cruelty." When in Reality, you are giving the puppy miller money and demand since you purchased one of their poorly bred pups.

Just make sure you screen. Screen the pups parents, screen the environment for cleanliness and friendliness etc..Ask as many questions you can to the breeder/owners of the dog(s). Good breeders would be willing to tell you! Great family raised (in home) breeding dogs are usually the family Pets. The owners care about them a lot and would want whats best for them. They don't breed for profit, but to better the breed, temperament etc.

So please be careful! No matter where you decide to get an animal.
